Several years ago, books became a topic in my work. Initially I was prompted to explore this area by an article in The Atlantic entitled "Torching the Modern-Day Library of Alexandria" which starts with a headline "“Somewhere at Google there is a database containing 25 million books and nobody is allowed to read them.”
This and reading "Fahrenheit 451" prompted me to take a closer look at books and how digitalisation has impacted the way we read and communicate. I was preoccupied with the question of what does a book like when it has been digitalised.
