Born in Switzerland and raised in the USA, Annemarie Auer has a fascination for reflecting surfaces and their multidimensional nature, and uses their photographs as the basis for her abstract work. Working in mixed media, she focuses on various aspects of colour and light on different materials (acrylic glass, paper, aluminium). Over the years she has collected sets of painted acrylic glass, books, coloured glass and paper objects that she uses to create 2- and 3-dimensional works.
