US/Swiss artist Annemarie Auer has a fascination for reflecting surfaces and their multidimensional nature, and uses their photographs as the basis for her abstract work. Working in mixed media, she focuses on various aspects of colour and light on different materials (acrylic glass, paper, aluminium). Over the years she has collected sets of painted acrylic glass, books, and coloured glass  that she uses to create 2- and 3-dimensional works.
 
She lives in works in Ennetbaden, Switzerland.
