Home remedy – A remedy devised or produced in one’s own home.

 

During the lockdown my intention was to continue working on my “Writings” (see Gallery 2019). A wrist inflammation made this impossible. Unable to see a doctor, I turned to a Swiss home remedy – “Quarkwickel”. The bandages are made from paper towel and quark. After being cooled in the refrigerator for a few hours, they can be applied to the inflammation and have a cooling, soothing effect. Body heat deforms the paper and leaves imprints and traces on the material.
